Ossian Moose’s Cover Letter & Resume for Petmate CFO Search

Dear Petmate,

My name is Ossian Moose Gibson, and I am a good boy. All of the time. Most of the time. Sometimes. Okay, well Mommy and Daddy love me. I would be the pawfect candidate for your Petmate CFO.

ossian

I love getting out and seeing the world. When I’m not lying on the bed or sleeping in my chair, I am traveling. Mommy and Daddy say “Wannago???” and I ALWAYS answer “umm, YES, OF COURSE!”. I have been to hundreds or dog parks. Some were too hot to enjoy. I mean, why did I go to Florida back-to-back summers? Those parks were short visits: RPLs (Run-Poop-Leave). But, I love going for rides. Daddy’s car has a nice place for me to put my head when it gets too heavy.

What else do I like? Well, I have 3 big buckets or toys. My favorite is my rubber squeaky balls, and my hedgehog, but I just want to tear him up. Did you know that some of these toys have white stuff in them? Don’t worry, I’m really good at getting the white stuff out. I also like treats. I chew on bones, I eat milk bones, and anything with beef or chicken is to drool for. I also like meeting new people, as long as they pet me. When I go out, I expect pets! Belly rubs, ear rubs, butt rubs, and someone to lean against or lay on are extremely important to me.           wpid-img_20150913_143836 (1)

I see I am required to be up-to-date on vaccinations. Ugh. Well, I am, but I don’t like thinking about it. One day, Mommy said “Wannago?”, and we went… to the vet. I got so many shots and stuff sprayed up my nose. That was not a fun ride. I also trained myself to house. So, I can only pee or poop outside. I also know how to do stuff. My favorite thing is to speak! One time, I won a contest for speaking. I sit for food, and shake, lay down, and roll over if asked nicely.

When I’m not sleeping or eating, I look at my social media. I have to take A LOT of pictures. My sister, Koda, and I are on twitter, facebook, and Instagram, and we even went to a social media conference in Georgia a few times. I hope you will pick me for CFO.

Woofs,
Ossian Moose

Beach Bums! Fort De Soto Dog Beach

Fort De Soto Dog Beach in St. Petersburg Florida

1 of Bring Fido’s top Dog Beaches in the US.

3500 Pinellas Bayway S.
Saint Petersburg, FL, US 33715

This doggie beach was our first real salt water beach we have ever visited!

It was pretty awesome!  We didn’t have to be on leashes and could run free!  Of course we went straight for the water.   It tasted so weird!  But you know me I still need to drink

A OK Dog Tip:   “Always swim with a partner!”

de-soto-3

We were having the time of our lives!

de-soto-2

Mom and Dad made sure we were taking plenty of breaks from the hot sun!

I wasn’t too happy that mom made us come sit, so I stuck our my tongue at her.

Thought i’d get in trouble, but she just laughed and took my picture!

Ossian drank way too much sea water

OK Dog Tip:  LISTEN, when your parents say “DON’T DRINK THE SALT WATER”

My tummy started hurting, and I had to go to the bathroom A LOT.

So I just sat with Mommy, she gave me kisses and belly rubs and made me feel much better

soto-4

She even dump the ice we brought so I could lay on it!

wpid-img_20150621_203040

It made me feel much better

Even though I got a little sick, we both had a great time!  We think you should definitely check this dog park out!

The Run Down:

Type of Park: Off Leash

Surface Area: (Three different parks) 1 beach (about an acre), 1 small dog area (less than an acre each) and 1 large dog area.

Stimulating Activities: The Beach!

Cooling: the Salt water (as long as the pups don’t drink) the other two dog areas have a rinse station, there isn’t much shading on the beach so bring an umbrella.  The large dog area has a few shade trees

Separate Areas: The beach area is for all, the other two areas (which are a little bit of a walk from the beach) are separated by weight.

Greenage: There is a few waste bag stations near the beach and a few in the grassy areas (be sure to bring your own as there few and far between and its just easier that way)

Human Comfort: not much, bring a towel or a beach chair!  There are no benches in the grassy areas either.

Location: You must enter the Fort De Soto park.  The two main grassy areas are right off the parking area, the beach is a little walk through the trees (your dog must stay leashed outside the dog beach areas or the dog park area) IT’S THE RULE!

Maintenance: Hours: Dawn to Dusk

Membership: There is a $5 car fee for entrance into Fort De Soto Park. See RulesOwners are required to supervise and clean up after their dogs. All dogs must be on a leash when outside of the dog park area.

Yummy Treats by Full Moon

We were so excited today when we got a box of FullMoon treats!  FOUR different kinds!  How awesome is that?!?!

So what is FullMoon treats:  Full Moon Treats is a family owned company that started in 2011.  Made only in the USA, using REAL food and packaged just right for us.  Mom is a stickler for local farms…she grew up on the farm.  Oh can I count how many times she has said…”well back on the farm when i was young…”  *insert roll of eyes* Do dogs roll there eyes…oh well thats for another time!

Full Moon understands the importance of local farmers and gives back to them.  There is even a farm here in Kentucky that sells their cage free chickens to Full Moon to use in their Chicken Strips!

OK so lets get down to the treats…

img_3047

Mom hand me some Chicken Jerky!

YUMMM>*chom chom cho…* GONE!

These Chicken Jerky Strips are awesome!  They have add hip & joint benefits as well.  Which is good for me, I have some bad hips and Koda, well…she has started to fall apart (two torn ACLs and all!)

Full Moon’s Chicken Jerky Plus Hip & Joint is made with all white cage free chickens.  There are no yucky filers like corn or soy and as a bonus it has 500mg of Glucosamine and 300mg of Chondroitin with some turmeric to help reduce inflamations is not a bad added bonus considering mom makes me take a Dasuquin every night (it has 900mg of Glucosamine)  I mean! Give me two chicken jerkys!  It taste WAY BETTER than a silly ol chewable pill (mom doesn’t think I know there pills, but “I” know there pills)  I SO SMART.

So next….what did we get next…Mom…

MOM!

MOM!   Why did you leave the kitchen.  We are trying out these yummy treats and I don’t have thumbs to open this package.

~sschmmmmmm~ smell that….oh yeah, you can’t, but it smells amazing…is that BACON!  YUMMMMM

img_3065

REAL BACON.  I mean the real stuff….better than that box of bacon Dad buys at the grocery for breakfast on Saturdays! Yuck!    This stuff….YEAH YEAH give me more!

Wow…..I don’t know where to begin….lets start with this amazing aroma. *chom chom* I mean it smells better than bacon being fried in the frying pan..(if thats possible) *chom chom* Like good enough for mom and dad to eat…*chom* but NO no not for mom and dad to eat there just isn’t enough for them…*chom chom* they must just get their own. *CHOM*

The taste: its chewy but not two chewy; its just right.  *gulp* and the texture- perfecto.  *chom gulp* Full Moon blew it out of the park and LANDED on the Moon with this one. *chom chom* This one will go down in the books as just the best…..WAIT….what…what….what is it…

“Ossian you just ate that ENTIRE BAG! BAD BOY’

img_3083

OHta OH..I think someones made at me….

Okay I’m back, had my time out and now mom is leaving me alone.  But now I don’t have anyone to give me more of those treats I see laying here on the counter.

Ya seem em.  They’re right there.  I can touch them with my nose.

20141211_160820

I could even get them if i wanted too….but I already got scolded by mom, I don’t like getting into trouble.  Which doesn’t happen much, because mom just looks at me…and I give her those “sad puppy dog eyes” and she hugs me and says everything is fine.

img_3057

see these puppy dogs eyes are to die for!

Anyways, I will leave the other two Full Moon treat bags for tomorrow.

Make sure and check back for the most up to date information going on at the Gibson household.

We know you have lots of blogs to read from, but thank you for choosing to spend a minute with us!

XOXOXO,

Ossian Moose
