Fun, travel, and a lot of love is what we are all about.

Hello there and thanks for visiting our blog, I am Jessica the mother of the OK Dogs: Ossian and Koda.  My husband, Jason, and I brought these adorable fuzz buckets into our life over 6 years ago, and forever we have been changed.

Ossian (ah-shin), named after my husband’s fraternity founder, came into our life in August of 2009, just a year after getting married and moving to the big city of Lexington, Kentucky.  Ossian was our first baby!  Raising him from a 5 week old pup was tough, but we think we did a pretty awesome job. He’s goofy and stubborn, but we wouldn’t change A thing.

My name is Ossian (full name – Ossian Moose Gibson)

I am a 6  year old St. Bernard.  I love being petted and getting all of the attention! My favorite humans are Mommy, Daddy, Nanny, and Momma Broady, or anyone else that lets me lean against them and will pet me.  My best friends are Koda (my Husky Mix sister) and Beanie, the apple of my eye whom literally gets all of my lovin’.  I love swimming, jumping off the dock, running around, and most of all taking naps.

Koda came into our lives 6 months later, after realizing all dogs should have a pal.  She was adopted after giving birth and nursing three adorable pups.  Her life before us is unknown. We do know that she has anxiety and can be paranoid, but that doesn’t keep her from being super gentle and tolerant of our cats, nieces, and nephews.

I am a Husky Mix, almost 8 years old.  I love Daddy,Mommy, and specially Daddy. Wait, where’s Daddy?!?!? My favorite things to do are go swimming, steal Ossian’s toys, and bark at random sounds.  This is my house, and I WILL protect it! I also like to chase things, like bunny rabbits, groundhogs, cats, and birds.  Ossian may be bigger than me, but I’m in charge!

My husband and I both work in the local school system, but enjoy every second we have at night and on the weekends taking the pups for joy rides, new adventures, and traveling to dog parks.  Our blog is a little bit of everything from the places we travel to products we love and use, to all our goofy funny antics.  We are so glad you have chosen to spend a little time with us.

Ossian and Koda like to tell you stories from their point of view.  Koda is sarcastic and straight on, as Ossian isn’t that big of a talker.  We started this blog back in 2011, a few months before we were to attend the first annual Barkworld Expo.  Please check it out.  We never miss a year; it truly is one of our favorite events.  We wanted to have a voice, knowing we only have a short time with Ossian and Koda on Earth. Why can’t dogs live longer?  We wanted to share the joy and laughter they give us daily, and hopefully share some knowledge we have learned as first time pet owners.  We truly think there is something for everyone here. Please feel free to check out our Instagram page, which we strive to post to daily, and see all the amazing dog parks we have had the luxury of traveling to to. Thank you again for your time.  If you are ever in the area, stop by and see us!

I just found your blog and really enjoy your photos, you handsome dogs!.
My name is Maija (pronounced My-uh), and your humans may be interested in checking out my blog as well. I’m posting a chapter per week of my book-in-progress, Funny Tails: Adventures and Misadventures in Living with Pugs, at http://maijaharrington.com. It’s a humorous look at life with our 3 pugs plus various foster pugs from Pug Rescue of North Carolina. So far, readers tell me it’s pretty funny. Your folks might get some laughs, too.
