Depending on what you feed your pups-dry food, raw food, a little of both, or chicken and rice like Ossian is now being feed, all these needs extra supplements to make your pup happy and healthy.

With both Ossian & Koda being senior pups now its even more important that I keep their bodies strong and holding out for there young minds!

I have always given the pups a join supplement, one that contained gludcosamine and chrondrotion and some times MSM.

I few years ago I got on a kick about giving them tumeric, I read lots of material that said it was really good for them, so I started making Golden Paste (google it if you’ve never heard of it) but it got to be time consuming and eventually I stopped giving it to them.

I received this product from FuriousPets for a honest review.  I was a little skeptical, because I had never heard of it before, but what got me was the ingredients.

What are all these ingredients good for?

Turmeric, Also known as curcumin is spice known around the world. Used mostly in cooking it can also be used to treat some conditions and certain symptoms.  It has been said that it aids in the prevention of cancer in our dogs.  Turmeric has a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.  It is ideal for senior pets, dogs with arthritis and poor joint health and any condition with inflammation as a symptom.

Glucosamine is extracted from the shells of shellfish.  Glucosamine plays a vital role in building cartilage, it should be taken as a supplement to treat arthritis and osteoarthritis.  This supplement is vital for building cartilage, which is a flexible, tough connective tissue found in several parts of the body.  This firm, rubbery tissue functions as padding at the ends of long bones where they meet joints.

Chondroitin is similar substance to glucosamine and is found naturally in joints.  It is responsible for many of the important biomechanical properties of the cartilage including resistance and elasticity.  It has a high fluid binding capacity helping maintain elasticity and shock absorbing properties of the cartilage.

MSM is an organic sulfur found in fruits, vegetables, grains and milk.  MSM reduces pain, inflammation, and allergic reactions.  It also helps heal wounds, dermatological issues and helps increasing exercise performance.

Vitamin C found in fruits and vegetables.  A powerful antioxidant that helps the body form and maintain connective tissue, including bones, blood vessels, and skin.

Boswellia is also known as Indian Frankincense, an herbal extract taken from the Boswellia Serrata Tree.  Its believed to treat chronic inflammatory illnesses as well as a number of other health conditions and is an effective anti-inflammatory with painkiller that helps and prevents the loss of cartilage.

Yucca is a root vegetable, and has a number of health benefits.  It is typically used to treat skin conditions and wounds.  Yucca helps boost immunity, ease arthritis pain and aids in diabetes treatment.

All these amazing natural products in one small pill.

Why I love this product.

  • It has all these natural products
  • Its small (which is good b/c I have to give Ossian 4 of them)
  • Its easily breakable (which is good for a picky pill eater like KODA!)

The OK Dogs Rating:  4 out 5 Paws

  1. I am thinking of purchasing your product on Amazon next week and want to know what other ingredients are in your product and what side effects, if any can be caused from giving this supplement to my pup. Also, I cannot find, from the picture of your bottle, what dosages are. What is proper for a 9 pound dog??

There are a lot of this kind of products on the market and I purchased one and was shocked to read on the box and found reviews to support that the product could cause bladder stones, which was nowhere in the merchants advertising of the product.

I want to know that your product is safe for my pup and she won’t become sick in the future from ingesting this supplement. I spending money to help/heal my pup not to incur high medical bills down the line.

Thank you for your understanding and time.
