Characteristics of a Dog Park

  1. Type of Park: on leash or off leash area, fenced or not

  2. Surface: Acreage, type of surface-sand, turf, grass, dirt, pebbles

  3. Stimulating Activities: Agility equipment, water for swimming, wooded area

  4. Cooling: water fountains, shade trees

  5. Separate Areas: large/small areas

  6. Greenage: waste bags, trash bins

  7. Human Comfort: bathrooms, seating areas

  8. Location: Parking, Ability to get in and out, Ease to fine

  9. Maintenance: lights, hours

  10. Membership: membership fees, rules

  1. We travel a lot too and it’s always nice when you find a great dog park. There are so many crummy ones, unfortunately. The best dog park I’ve ever been to is in Sedona, Arizona on Soldier’s Pass. It’s incredible! The back part of it is all natural & woodsy, it’s the most gorgeous dog park I’ve ever seen.
